Setting & Reaching a Targeted Goal

The following are some examples to assist you in achieving your team and/or association monetary goals. The illustrations are products that can be found on this site, but could be applied to others.

#1  Sell Rink Directory Ads on www.Rink Directory.com

Earn 30% on advertising sales up to $10,000 a month

Earn 40% on advertising sales $10,000 - $99,000 a month

Earn 50% on advertising sales $100,000 or more a month

Here is an example of how an organization made up of 100 families can easily generate a significant amount of funds without spending a dime.  Each family contacts a business they frequent or an out-of-state business person they know and ask them to take out an ad on www.RinkDirectory.com .  This ad costs as little as $10, $20 or $30 per month per rink and can be located at any rink(s) in North America.  For a small amount of money, their business gets real exposure to the public and they help support youth hockey with their ad.

Set a Goal to Raise $10,000:

$30 sold X 100 families = $3,000/month of ad sales X 30% or $900 X 12 months = $10,800

Set a Goal to Raise $25,000:

$60 sold X 100 families = $6,000/month of ads sales X 30% or  $1,800 X 12 months = $21,600

Set a Goal to Raise $50,000 :

$100 sold X 100 families = $10,000/month of ads sales X 40% or $4,000 X 12 months = $48,000

#2  Sell Hockey Themed Candy

Rather than sell ordinary candy that can be found in any store, we have partnered with a small candy manufacturer to create hockey themed candy. We developed the Fudgie Puck, Top Shelf Peanut Bar, Rink Bar (plain) or Rink Bar with Nuts, and Sticky Tape Taffy. The trademarked candy name and packaging is designed to capture the excitement of the game and is made with quality ingredients.  We suggest you sell them at every tournament, during games much like hot dog vendors at ball games, in concessions or by going door-to-door. You can purchase them by the box of 24 or by the case containing 6 boxes of 24 each.  Buy them for $1 each and sell them for $2 - $3 each.  You set the price.

Set a Goal of $7,000 - $15,000

100 kids who each sell 3 boxes (a total of 72 items) = minimum profit of $7,200

100 kids who each sell 4 boxes (a total of  96 items) = minimum profit of $9,600

100 kids who each sell 6 boxes (one case of 144 items) = minimum profit of $14,400

Your organization can earn a profit of 42% by selling Carbon's Golden Malted Waffle and Pancake Flour

  • Team Sales
If your team has 18 players and each player sells:
    2 cases (24 cans) = $1,080 profit
    3 cases (36 cans) = $1,620 profit
    4 cases (48 cans) = $2,160 profit
    5 cases (60 cans) = $2,700 profit

  • Organization Fundraising
At the time of registration, each player is expected to sell 1 case or more of Pancake/Waffle Mix. The cost of this mix is added onto the registration fee.

Add in $72/per case or $6.00 per can to the cost of registration. Of this $72/case, $30 would go to the organization as profit.

Profit per case for the organization is $30/case
    500 association players—each sells 1 case = $15,000 association profit
    500 association players—each sells 2 cases = $30,000 association profit

    Profit Calculator for Your Group
    10 Cases = $300 20 Cases = $600 30 Cases = $900

    40 Cases = $1200 50 Cases = $1500 60 Cases = $1800

    70 Cases = $2100 80 Cases = $2400 90 Cases = $2700
